Instructed by National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach and Certified Trainer, Brenda Buffington. Self-defense is an essential skill for both men and women to understand and practice. Brenda will lead a class focusing on the basic elements of self-defense including:
• Defining Self-Defense
• Proper utilization of techniques
• Heightening our environmental awareness
• Using everyday objects as tools in self-defense
This class uses no equipment and high reps to burn, shake and tone your muscles- including the often neglected nooks and crannies. This insanely effective full body toning class will leave your silhouette cinched and your body high+tight.
This is System of Strengths version of High Intensity Interval Training. The purpose of this class is to get your heart rate up and keep it there. The class will move quickly using only your body weight. It is the fastest way to melt fat off your body while increasing your endurance.

How It Works: We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check.

At 23 I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and it forever changed my perspective on health and fitness. I will share how I found out I had cancer and how it wasn’t until after being diagnosed that I really knew what the word “can’t” meant. I went through the lowest physical point in my life and I was committed to coming back stronger on the other side. I want to share with everyone how living a healthy lifestyle played such a large role in my road to remissions and ongoing battle to regain my strength. I was given back my health and I am going to make damn sure I take advantage of it. This journey ignited my passion in fitness and the opportunity you have to positively impact someone’s life. I hope hearing about my story can teach others that health is not a given, it’s a privileged.
Our flow classes are based upon the traditional vinyasa style, linking breath to movement. Classes include Sun Salutations, balancing, standing and seated poses, with the goal of giving your entire body attention and love while simultaneously cultivating strength and openness.
